Yemen Empowerment Training Series

The Yemen Empowerment Training Series was a transformative initiative by Impact International NGO that focused on enhancing the educational landscape for children with special needs in Yemen. In collaboration with the Yemeni government and local stakeholders, the program successfully conducted multiple special education training workshops from 2007 to 2010, reaching over 500 families.

The primary objective of the Yemen Empowerment Training Series is to equip local educators and parents with the necessary skills to support children with special needs. Over the course of the program, we:

  • Conducted ten specialized training workshops in Yemen, attended by local educators and parents.

  • Partnered with certified special education teachers from the United States to provide high-quality instruction.

  • Issued certificates of completion, verified by PhD professionals in Special Education, ensuring the quality and academic integrity of our training sessions.

The success of these workshops led the Yemeni government to recognize the program's impact, with officials expressing interest in collaborating to develop a national framework for special needs education. This recognition not only highlights the effectiveness of our training series but also emphasizes the ongoing need for educational resources in Yemen.
